Don’t pay a big pile of money up front
With over 25 years experience in the medical records industry, we understand how important your paper files are

We’re here to help guide you and get you going
Technology:
What do I need to get started?
A PC, a scanner and an Internet connection
Where are the files stored?
When you create the database you select where it is to be located. For your home it could be on your PC or on our remote storage servers through the Internet. For your business it could be on your local server on your network or on our ASP remote storage servers.
What database is required?
We use the Microsoft standard enterprise database which is SQL. For a small business or for your home use you can download a free copy of SQL Express.
What type of scanner do I need?
Any Twain compliant scanner will work, whether it is a local scanner or a network scanner or a combination copier/scanner etc. Our software is designed to work optimally with a multi-page duplex scanner. We recommend the Fujitsu scanners. Each scanner will have their own special software which we utilize on our advanced features.
How long does it take to install the software?
Once your network administrator or our network people setup your database, you can log in to our website and click on the link to put the icon on your PC. You can install the link on as many PCs as you like. Your license is good anywhere you log in.
How is the software licensed?
The software is licensed by person, not by PC. Each person has a security level which allows them to do certain functions such as view, scan etc. We use the SaaS model which means Software as a Service. Instead of making a large up front investment in application software you pay a low monthly amount based on the number of users you have.
How much disk space does an image take up?
Our software allows you to select the DPI and color clarity you desire. A standard black and white 8 ½ x11 piece of paper, 300 dpi quality, will take less than 100 kb of space. This means you can store 10,000+ pages in 1 Gigabyte of disk storage. A 256 color image will take up approximately 300 kb. These images will display very clearly and very quickly. You may also import any other types of images into the software such as .BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PDF. You can also attach other capture devices directly to the software such as a Webcam.
Do you use bar coding?
We do not require bar coding but can use it if you have it on your forms. We have a form recognition feature built in to the software.
Can I search for an image using OCR? Yes.
We also have a filtered history of all images in addition to our specialty software products which are stored by patient, member etc.
Can I fax any image(s) directly from the software?
Yes you can as long as you have a faxing product connected to your network. (Hint: When you select print does one of your devices show a fax?)
How is your scanning technology different than older scanning technology?
We utilize the latest technology and toolsets to allow you to very quickly scan or import, instantly view and instantly store in your database. Any user can then look at the image instantly with a quick display. Older scanning technology did not instantly update, took a long time to display an image from a remote location and took a significant amount of disk storage space.
